Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly revenue reports and account balances, providing detailed analyses of variances.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance, research, and required documentation, including monitoring accounting standards and assessing their application to financial reporting requirements, including revenue recognition policies.
  • Assess, design, and implement financial reporting controls as well as testing procedures in accordance with SOX.
  • Oversee and coordinate periodic audit activities with external auditors and assist in the preparation of audit schedules, data, and information.
  • Research, prepare, and execute finance initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or company-wide improvements, as required.
  • Work closely with management team and partners to facilitate continual improvement with company-wide operations.

Qualifications

  • Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, multi-institutional knowledge preferred.
  • Experience working in a SaaS business preferred.
  • 4+ years working in a SOX Compliant organization.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and managing an accelerated financial close process.
  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Potentially managing a team remotely.
  • Private Equity and credit facility management experience a plus.

Education Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA preferred.
  • MBA, MAAC Preferred.

Location

We have an in-office work style, with most team members working in the office from Monday to Thursday and remotely on Friday.
