About the role
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) assists the General Manager in overseeing, managing, and operating events at a designated location. Key responsibilities include providing administrative support, communicating with the REVELXP Staffing Operations Management Team, assisting in large-scale staff training, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support in the overall operation of events
- Communicate regularly with the REVELXP Staffing Operations Management Team to provide updates on internal and external account operations
- Support the General Manager in building, maintaining, and nurturing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities
- Aid in large-scale staff training on company and client venue standards, covering topics such as venue breakouts, emergency management, customer service, and positive team environments
- Create and track all event invoices for the account using the REVELXP workforce management solution system
- Ensure compliance with all company administrative policies and procedures
- Manage account budgets, reporting, invoicing, onboarding processes, time processes, and communication for all clients and groups within the account
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of office management experience
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working with large groups in a fast-paced environment
- Possess a passion for customer service
- Lead by example professionally and personally
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Ability to respond to change positively and productively
- Organized and attentive to small, critical details
- Capable of handling multiple tasks
- Quick and energetic in manual tasks and environmental conditions
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds (e.g., event materials, signage)
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
- Manual dexterity to handle event materials and technology
- Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including outdoor spaces
- Good visual acuity and attention to detail
- Ability to travel to event sites, as needed
Work Environment
- Combination of office and on-site event environments
- Fast-paced conditions during live events
- Frequent interaction with clients, vendors, and large groups
- Combination of weekends, evenings, holidays, or multi-day work assignments
- Long periods of standing and constant movement around the event venue
- Longer hours/days due to large events and training sessions
- Long periods of sitting while on the phone and at the computer
