About the role
Working under direct supervision of the Returns Lead, selecting from a variety of established procedures to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities, the Returns Processor accurately receives and processes customer product returns to enable credit back to customers in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Unloads and inspects product to confirm it meets the terms and condition of its return authorization.
- Keys received products in the ERP system correctly and credits to the Customer in a timely manner.
- Returns product to shelf assignment if a Material Handler is not required to put into the returns inventory.
- Processes unauthorized returns sent back from a Customer by creating a case and working with Customer Care.
- Inspects monitors less than 27 inches to confirm no broken screens.
- Performs wiping process on an opened hard drive when received to remove any customer information before placing into a shelf location.
- Assists the Returns to Vendor Associates for additional information as needed for product in return location.
- Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic computer knowledge with ability to operate keyboard for data entry.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with ability to create a document or simple spreadsheet.
- Should be able to identify Item & SKU products.
- Basic Data Entry skills.
- Required knowledge of quality and inspection of product returns, may be learned on the job: Product return knowledge with ability to verify the correct product was returned and contents are complete.
- Hardware knowledge with ability to inspect Monitors under 27 inches by powering on units.
- Computer tech skills with ability to follow a hard drive wiping process for any opened hard drives.
- Package inspection knowledge with ability to verify packaging integrity to be safely transported and stored.
- Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials.
- Have solid understanding of policies, procedures and contracts related to returns to vendor.
- Able to track, to validate and to maintain a working inventory.
- Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities.
- Analytical with ability to draw conclusions from data, systematic and rational.
- Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
- Detail oriented with item-by-item focus, meticulous attention to detail with ability to proofread for accuracy.
- Judgment with ability to formulate opinions, compare and decide with good sense.
