Duties And Responsibilities
- Administers end-to-end retirement plan operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations governing qualified retirement plans.
- Serves as program owner for retirement plans, providing governance, oversight, and alignment with organizational strategy.
- Promotes effective service delivery and issue resolution with external vendors, including recordkeepers and consultants.
- Collaborates with HR and Payroll to ensure accurate data exchange and consistent processes.
- Led retirement plan design changes, system enhancements, and implementation initiatives.
- Manages retirement governance activities, including committee support, reporting, documentation, and material preparation.
- Serves as escalation point for complex participant issues and drives continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience and/or training may be considered.
- Experience: 4–7 years of experience in retirement plan administration.
- Licenses/Certifications: Certifications preferred: ASPPA, CEBS, ERPA.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of qualified and nonqualified retirement plan administration, including 401(k) structures and related regulatory frameworks (ERISA, IRS, DOL).
- Strong analytical skills to interpret plan data and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to manage vendors and coordinate external retirement service providers.
- Effective communication and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to independently manage a complex retirement program and drive process improvements.
