Retail Supervisor

About the role

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking for motivated, team-building individuals to fill a Full Time Retail Supervisor at our Lapeer Store located at 1945 W. Genesee St. in Lapeer, MI.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train store staff
• Open and close the store according to policy and as directed
• Assist with procedures related to the cash registers, returns and cash handling
• Deliver good customer service
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment
• Appropriately handle customer concerns/complaints
• Stock and return merchandise per company directive
• Ensure that all merchandise is displayed appropriately
• Maintain the overall appearance of the store, directing staff as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1 year of customer service experience
• Valid Michigan Driver's License
• Must have telephone access

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds with or without help
• Ability to reach, bend or stoop
• Ability to stand six to eight hours a day

Skills

• Ability to use cash register and follow Goodwill policy and procedures
• Ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently
• Pleasant, cheerful and professional demeanor
• Ability to push, pull and operate a pallet jack

Pay

$17.00 an hour plus 20% discount on in-store purchases; Monthly Bonuses Potential; Career Advancement Opportunities.

Schedule

Full-time position; all shift availability required; extra shifts as necessary.
