Retail Supervisor

About the role

As a member of the Store Leadership Team, you will provide leadership and direction to diverse associate-level team members in an assigned area of responsibility. You’ll foster a positive environment, display high professional standards, and lead by example while demonstrating Columbia Sportswear Company values.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day work of associate-level staff, providing direction, training, and coaching.
• Supervise assigned department to ensure efficient operations, proper store procedures, and an excellent customer experience.
• Manage department profitability through receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing inventory.
• Maintain store culture through teamwork, coaching, and leading by example.
• Collaborate with the store leadership team on policies, procedures, and standards for your area.
• Uphold company standards and policies, ensuring employees adhere to procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in a similar position or specialization.
• Skill operating a Point of Sale (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with leadership, associates, and consumers.
• Ability to work in a physically active environment, frequently moving items up to 40 lbs.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule that may change seasonally based on business needs.

Pay

Hiring range: $19.80 – $26.57 per hour. Pay decisions are based on market rates, candidate capabilities, skills, years of experience, and internal equity.
