Retail Supervisor
About the role
With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our Store Leadership Teams are essential to driving effective store operations and procedures while guiding team members. As a Retail Supervisor, you will be a member of the Store Leadership Team, providing leadership and direction to diverse associate-level team members in an assigned area of responsibility. You will foster a positive environment, display high professional standards, and lead by example while demonstrating Columbia Sportswear Company values.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day work of associate-level staff, providing direction, training, and coaching to ensure efficient operations and proper store procedures.
- Supervise an assigned department, managing profitability through receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing inventory.
- Create and maintain store culture through teamwork and coaching, leading by example in behavior and adherence to company values.
- Collaborate with the store leadership team on policies, procedures, and standards for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Maintain company standards and policies, ensuring employees adhere to procedures and quality standards while resolving any issues.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar position or specialization.
- Skill operating a Point of Sale (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone.
- Effective communication skills to exchange ideas and information with the leadership team, associates, and consumers.
- Ability to work in a physically active environment, frequently moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule that may change seasonally based on business trends or forecasts.
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Pay
Pay Range: $19.80 - $28.51
Expected Pay Range for Hire: $19.80 - $25.61
Pay decisions are determined by market rates, candidate capabilities, skills, years of experience, and internal equity.
