Retail Store Manager

Store Managers are expected to spend the vast majority of their time on managerial work, including leading and managing a team, holding the team accountable for customer experience and results, ensuring store readiness to deliver Customer Brand Promises, and planning workload activities and KPIs within budget. Minimal, if any, time is expected on non-managerial tasks such as cashiering, setting POGs, and stocking shelves.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the store, including adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Deliver sales plan, profit plan, and other KPIs in conjunction with annual performance objectives; manage the store team to achieve their role KPIs.
• Lead the execution of customer brand promises.
• Implement and lead shrink and safety programs to deliver goals.
• Use company tools to set, prioritize, and communicate goals; provide overall management to team members and customers.
• Staff the store with qualified team members: hire, train, observe, and coach the team to achieve results.
• Lead the performance management process, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Identify talent and develop team members for advancement; utilize leadership competencies for continued self-development.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations.
• Promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values; project a positive image and serve as a role model.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Maintain operational understanding of all store departments; ensure cross-training, including in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of retail experience, including specialized knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and customer service excellence.
• 2+ years of experience directly supervising a diverse team, including performance management and talent development.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store, including regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Some lifting of heavy items and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Work Environment

• Public retail store setting supervising team members and serving customers.
• All public areas are climate controlled; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.
• Some outdoor work.
• Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
• Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Pay

Total base pay range for this position: $53,100.00 - $70,400.00. This position may be eligible for additional compensation, including a bonus based on performance.
