Retail Store Manager
About the role
The Garb Collection is seeking a Store Manager to lead a new kind of retail experience—one that makes buying and selling secondhand easy, beautiful, and community-driven. The ideal candidate will lead a small team, build relationships with customers, create social media content, coach staff, solve problems, and ensure every person who walks through the door leaves excited to return.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a small, customer-focused retail team
- Deliver an exceptional boutique shopping experience
- Oversee daily store operations, cleanliness, merchandising, and inventory
- Support customers through every stage of their rental and selling experience
- Handle customer communication via email, phone, text, and in person
- Create engaging Instagram content including Stories, Reels, and posts
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on content ideas and campaigns
- Schedule, train, and coach employees
- Maintain store standards and visual merchandising
- Manage administrative tasks, reporting, and internal communication
- Serve as a key holder and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Qualifications
- Love connecting with people and creating memorable customer experiences
- Comfortable leading a team while working alongside them
- Enjoy creating photo and video content for social media
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Take ownership and naturally solve problems before they become bigger issues
- Balanced creativity with operational excellence
- Believe sustainability should be practical—not just a buzzword
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and major sales events
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $41,600–$47,600 annually
- 21 days Paid Time Off
- $2,400 annual non-taxable cell phone reimbursement
- $3,600 annual HSA contribution (after 6 months with eligible plan)
