Retail Store Manager

About the role

The Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a Backcountry- Stores retail location in Seattle, WA. This includes managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining store appearance and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations, including staffing, inventory management, and sales performance.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including safety and environmental standards.
• Manage employee relations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide training and development opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase store profitability and customer loyalty.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Participate in special events and promotions to drive sales and enhance brand visibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of retail management experience, preferably in outdoor or specialty retail.
• Proven ability to manage a team and develop employees.
• Strong understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay

$X per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Saturday, with some evening and weekend shifts required.
