Empire Distributors Inc, a leading beverage distributor, is seeking a Retail Spirits Sales Rep in Training to sell spirits, beer, fine wine, and non-alcoholic products to package stores.

Responsibilities

  • Learns and executes the seven Standards of Performance: Distributions, Position, Display, Pricing, Point-of-sale, Cold box, and Rotation in each account.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
  • Travels through assigned territory daily to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, present items for distribution, and handle damages and off-condition product.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms for orders obtained.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
  • Confers with District Manager to resolve customer problems.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
  • Identifies and responds to customers' needs.
  • Maintains frequent and open communication with drivers, driver supervisors, district managers, sales managers, and the general manager.
  • Prepares and/or maintains distribution tracking reports, planning and goals, case quotas and dollar objectives, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Executes sales plans and maintains accounts according to company standards.
  • Tracks progress of goals on a weekly basis.
  • Participates in supplier work-withs.
  • Continually maintains training and product knowledge.
  • Delivers emergency orders when needed.
  • Attends trade shows.
  • Conducts business according to local and state laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by District Manager.
  • Performs merchandising duties as needed or upon request.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have the ability to sustain a current and valid Alcohol Sales Permit from the Georgia Department of Revenue.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Order Processing Systems.

Pay

$19.00 per hour.
