About the Role
Yellowstone Club’s Retail & Rental department is seeking a Retail Ski Boot Fitter for the upcoming Winter season (November – April). This role provides members and guests with an outstanding customized ski/snowboard boot fitting experience in a private residential community in Big Sky, Montana.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding guest service, including greeting and acknowledging every member and guest, maintaining service standards, and demonstrating product knowledge.
- Guarantee total guest satisfaction, displaying hospitality and professionalism at all times.
- Handle member and guest questions, complaints, and issues while charging appropriate accounts for purchases.
- Answer inquiries via telephone, email, and mail, and provide a positive atmosphere in the retail shop.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Club policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Maintain departmental productivity, organization, punctuality, and consistency standards.
- Provide accurate and timely information about retail shop services and maximize sales performance.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of merchandise and maintain a neat, organized, and stocked selling floor.
- Assist in inventory maintenance in the stockroom and on the selling floor.
- Execute register functions and ensure merchandise presentation meets Club standards.
- Custom mold liners, footbeds, and shells, and correct foot-related problems with extensive knowledge of the foot.
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and management.
- Project a favorable image of Yellowstone Club to members and guests at all times.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or vocational training.
- One to two years’ experience in customer service.
- Strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Previous cash handling experience.
- Ability to interact positively with members, guests, co-workers, and management.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
- Basic math and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience in ski retail and boot fitting industry.
Work Environment
The role is primarily performed in a climate-controlled environment, but may require working outside in extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, snow, or inclement weather.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to walk, work with hands and arms, and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Frequently required to talk and hear.
- Constantly required to use vision for data analysis, computer work, and attention to detail.
- Constantly required to sit for extended periods and use hands and fingers to operate a computer.
