About Us

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is a federally recognized Indian Tribe located in Palm Springs, California, with 34,000 acres of Reservation lands spanning Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, and the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains. The Tribe owns and operates two 18-hole championship golf courses, three casinos, two world-class spas, and a fuel station.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the convenience store.
• Supervise retail staff, including assigning duties and responsibilities.
• Ensure the bank is counted and balanced with the safe.
• Receive and process new merchandise.
• Maintain orderly and neat presentation of retail merchandise.
• Replenish and stock inventory.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the retail shop.
• Monitor and report any operational issues to the Retail Manager.
• Assist and direct team members with assignments and duties.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests and internal clients.
• Comply with all applicable ACF System of Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures, and Tribal Regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 1 year of guest service experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, move, and work throughout the convenience store, Java Caliente, offices, and various areas of the properties, including walking up to 1½ miles and climbing stairs.
• Must be able to work in a cooler below 40 degrees.
• Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels, typically moderate.
• Must be able to grasp, bend, lift, and/or carry goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. intermittently.
• Sufficient dexterity to use office equipment, including computers, calculators, and multi-line telephones.
