About the role

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer (store). This is a permanent part-time role offering workplace independence, some flexibility in hours, and job consistency with continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks
  • Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store
  • Provide the quantity of about 45% of the products scanned
  • Complete Display Scanning on the entire store every week
  • Complete Custom Projects (additional detailed product requests from clients) almost every week, adding 1–2 hours of work per store
  • Report to stores within described deadlines and adhere to weekly deadlines

Work schedule

Base hours average 3–6 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours (typically 1–2 hours per week per store) are frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details will be reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage
  • Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Must be a deadline-driven self-starter
  • Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi
  • Must be tech savvy

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)

Pay

  • Competitive compensation ($16/hr)
  • Paid travel at hourly rate (minus first and last 15 minutes)
