This is a permanent part-time role averaging 6–14 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours (typically 1–2 hours per week per store) are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June.

About the role

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.
  • Scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store using a downloadable mobile app.
  • Provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned.
  • Complete weekly Display Scanning on the entire store, which can take several hours.
  • Perform Custom Projects—additional work requested by clients, adding 30 minutes to 2 hours per store per week.
  • Adhere to weekly deadlines; dependability and quality-driven action are critical.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
  • Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
  • Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Deadline-driven self-starter.
  • Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
  • Tech-savvy.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (preferred).
