Retail Sales Specialist

Full-time position, 40 hours per week.

About the role

Provide customers with a special shopping experience and assist with the intake, upkeep, and retail of hard goods.

Responsibilities

• Retail / Customer Service (25%)
  • Engage with customers as they enter the store
  • Sell hard goods, candles, stationery, jewelry, and clothing
  • Be knowledgeable about vendors and artists to assist customers with questions
  • Take floral orders on the computer or iPad, both in-person and over the phone
• Inventory Intake (35%)
  • Process and unpack incoming inventory shipments
  • Inventory items in the point-of-sale system
  • Keep back stock space organized for new shipments
• Shop Upkeep (25%)
  • Perform opening and closing duties
  • Display merchandise creatively and position it effectively to drive sales
  • Restock store merchandise
  • Break down boxes and remove rubbish
• Market Wrap Design (15%)
  • Learn to create the store’s signature floral item, the Market Wrap
  • Receive training from the floral team to design beautiful wraps and keep the wrap rack stocked

Requirements

• 2+ years of retail experience
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Flexible schedule; must be able to work weekends
• High School Diploma or higher
• Proficient with iPad and iMac
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
