Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital channels using tools such as text messaging and social media
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service tailored to individual preferences
• Provide honest, confident feedback on style and fit to help customers make informed decisions
• Develop fashion and product expertise to offer knowledgeable recommendations
• Collaborate with the team to keep the department customer-ready through order fulfillment, stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and light cleaning
• Grow the customer base by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts
• Occasionally perform duties in other departments as business needs require

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Handling bulky or awkwardly shaped items, including reaching above head level
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay

Hourly base pay: $18.80. Commission varies by department—apparel, shoes, and accessories sales earn 3% to 14.5%, while Beauty and Men’s Fragrance roles earn 3%. Performance-based incentives or bonuses may also apply.
