Retail Sales - Men's Apparel - La Jolla University Town Center

We’re looking for a Salesperson who is passionate about fashion and styling and has the ability to cultivate and grow a customer following, both digitally and in-store.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital selling with effective use of selling tools (including text and social media)
• Build lasting relationships with customers
• Provide exceptional service tailored to each customer’s needs
• Offer honest and confident feedback to customers about style and fit
• Develop fashion and product expertise
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a customer-ready department (filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and light cleaning)
• Grow relationships by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Handling bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching above the head
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay

Hourly pay range: $18.00 - $18.00 (base). Commission varies by merchandise sold: 3% to 14.5% for apparel, shoes, and accessories; 3% for Beauty and Men’s Fragrance. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Schedule

Hours and schedule vary weekly based on business needs. Flexibility to occasionally perform duties in other departments may be required.
