Retail Sales - Active & Lingerie - La Jolla University Town Center

Responsibilities

• Conduct bra fittings in the fitting room, measuring customers for size and providing fit and style guidance (training provided).
• Build lasting customer relationships by delivering personalized service and honest feedback.
• Achieve in‑store and digital sales goals using tools such as text messaging and social media.
• Stay current on fashion trends and product knowledge through trainings from Nordstrom and brand consultants.
• Collaborate with the team to keep the department customer‑ready, including filling orders, stocking, re‑merchandising, applying price markdowns, and light cleaning.

• Empathy, sensitivity, and body‑positivity to provide a supportive atmosphere during intimate apparel fittings for diverse body types.
• Self‑motivation and a strong drive to meet sales targets; interest in leveraging networking and technology to boost sales.
• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities; capable of prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced setting.
• Flexible availability to work schedules based on business needs.
• Physical ability to be on your feet for 6–8 hours per shift, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching; regular hand use for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling; ability to handle bulky items, lift up to 10 lb regularly and up to 25 lb occasionally.

Pay

Hourly rate: $18.00 per hour. Commission varies by merchandise: apparel, shoes, and accessories typically range from 3 % to 14.5 %; beauty and men’s fragrance sales typically receive a 3 % commission.
