Retail Sales Associate - Sporting Goods Lead (Trent)

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service, generate sales, and suggest products
• Stock and merchandise the department
• Maintain a clean and organized department
• Lead and develop a successful team
• Safeguard company assets
• Work all scheduled shifts between Mon-Sat 7 am to 8 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm, including weekends and holidays
• Flexibility in scheduling based on business needs

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sporting goods products
• General knowledge of customer service principles
• Product knowledge and communication skills
• Reading comprehension and writing accuracy
• Department merchandise knowledge, usage or application, competitive advantages, developments, and trends
• Customer preferences
• Reliability, attendance, diligence, focus on results, following directions, initiative, multitasking, prioritizing, courtesy, cooperation, attentiveness, confidentiality, enthusiasm
• Safety awareness and ability to lift and merchandise product on high shelves, top caps, and end caps
• Optional gun counter responsibilities may require security clearances and experience for blog or media purposes
• Able to communicate expectations, priorities, projects, or worklists, ensure productivity, manage time, achieve goals, observe associates, acknowledge achievements, give suggestions or instructions for improvement, lead by example, hold team accountable for results, answer questions, and assist with new experiences
• Properly staff the department to ensure each customer is attended to and freight is processed promptly
