About the role

The CHEF’STORE Sales Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of customer service, aligning with US Foods' core values of delivering excellence, minimizing waste, fostering teamwork, encouraging communication, and valuing every individual.

Responsibilities

• Ensure impeccable customer service by interacting with customers and promoting the CHEF’STORE brand.
• Utilize the CHEF’STORE Way training to enhance customer interactions and model desired behaviors.
• Perform cash transactions and scanning tasks efficiently and accurately using POS systems.
• Manage inventory by replenishing stock, ensuring proper labeling, and reporting discrepancies.
• Assist in various departments including Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, and Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply, as needed.
• Participate in special events and store operations such as vendor fairs and inventory processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-12 months of retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
• One year of retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
