Job Responsibilities
- Build customer confidence and provide accurate information
- Promote products through point of successful sale
- Establish professional, yet personalized rapport with each customer
- Closely with the goal of closing sales and providing the best customer experience
- Selling merchandise and providing customer service as per company standards
- Maintain the appearance of the selling floor
- Perform marketing activities such as opening new Boscov’s charge accounts
- Accurately and efficiently complete all transactions and paperwork
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Maintain an awareness of advertised merchandise; process and maintain stock
Job Requirements
- Ability and desire to actively engage customers, sell merchandise, and provide excellent customer service
- Prior retail sales experience and/or customer service experience, preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with basic math skills
- Ability to learn selling skills and operate a POS register and telxon
- Available to work varied days and hours as work schedule requires, including evenings and weekends
