Retail Sales Associate - Part Time - 2342

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business.

Pay

$10.00 to $14.00 per hour plus commission. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $2.70 per hour on top of the hourly rate. Actual pay is based on work location, qualifications, and experience.

Schedule

• Most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays
• Flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions
• Perform non-management open/close procedures
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements
• Handle cash and negotiable items following company policies and procedures
• Answer incoming calls per company standards
• Communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience
• Complete assigned training
• Assist customers in parking lots or exterior storage areas as needed

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in basic math calculations
• Cash handling experience preferred
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and office machines
• Willingness to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate

Commission Plan

Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
