Retail Sales Associate (Home Furnishings)

Responsibilities
- Safely unload weekly semi-trailers, including handling the heaviest pieces
- Use proper equipment and safe lifting techniques; forklift certification provided
- Partner closely with warehouse teams to ensure smooth product flow on weekdays and weekends
- Relocate, stage, and prepare products for the Outlet showroom
- Support assembly, repairs, and tool-based tasks
- Finalize merchandising for Saturday’s opening, including tagging, cleaning, and organization
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient back-of-house environment
- Guide and support product handlers and casual staff in daily workflow
- Jump in physically as needed to keep operations moving
- Aid in hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
- Support team morale and model professionalism in communication and behavior
- Conduct monthly facility and equipment checks
- Identify issues and propose solutions with an “owner mindset”
- Act as a safety leader for the team
- Support SAP backroom functions and inventory-related tasks
- Contribute to operational improvements and process updates
- During weekend shifts, assist customers and support the Outlet team
- Create a welcoming, efficient, and customer-ready environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in roles involving related skills and responsibilities
- Experience supporting or leading others in a team environment
- Strong communication skills and a professional, natural communication style
- Ability to lift 75–100 pounds independently throughout the day
- Pass a physical abilities test related to the role
- Experience with Microsoft Office; comfort learning new systems (SAP experience a plus)
- Understanding of safe working habits and commitment to safety leadership
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of $53,000 - $58,000 / year ($25.48 - $27.88/ hour), with occasional paid overtime. Our salary is guaranteed.
