Responsibilities

• Build customer confidence, provide accurate information, and promote products through point of successful sale.
• Establish professional, yet personalized rapport with each customer to close sales and provide the best customer experience.
• Sell merchandise and provide customer service as per company standards (e.g., greet and acknowledge customers, demonstrate solid product knowledge).
• Maintain the appearance of the selling floor.
• Perform marketing activities such as opening new Boscov’s charge accounts to achieve company goals.
• Accurately and efficiently complete all transactions and paperwork while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain awareness of advertised merchandise; process and maintain stock by assisting in receiving, folding, straightening, and replenishing merchandise.

Requirements

• Prior retail sales experience and/or customer service experience (preferred).
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with basic math skills.
• Ability to learn selling skills and operate a POS register and telxon.
• Available to work varied days and hours as required, including evenings and weekends.
