Retail Sales Associate - Conventional Fishing (West)

About the role

We are seeking a Full-Time Conventional Fishing Associate to join our team at North 40 Outfitters in Great Falls, MT. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience through excellent service, product sales, and department maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and generate sales
• Suggest products and merchandise the department
• Stock and organize the department
• Maintain a clean and organized department
• Safeguard company assets
• Work all scheduled shifts between Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm
• Be flexible in scheduling based on business needs

Requirements

• A strong knowledge of walleye fishing is beneficial
• Familiarity with local areas and warm/cold water fishing and conventional fishing equipment
• Ability and willingness to demonstrate various fishing techniques and train others

Qualifications

• Willingness to share credit, work in a team environment, and define success collectively
• Drive to be dependable and perform well against expectations
• Ability to work independently or in a group setting
• Committed to providing exceptional customer service
• Good communication skills to engage with customers regularly
• Able to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Knowledge of conventional fishing equipment, lures, hooks, bait, and local fishing areas
• Experience in merchandising is helpful
• Ability to educate and assist customers on North 40's brands
• Familiarity with correct lifting and loading techniques
• Physical ability to lift and carry items as described above
• Spending 100% of work time on your feet, including use of ladders, rolling staircases, and pallet jacks
