Retail Sales Associate - Yard (West Location)

About the Role

North 40 Outfitters in Spokane, WA (West Location) is seeking a Full-Time Yard Associate to join our team. In this role, you play a key role in the overall customer experience by providing outstanding customer service, generating sales, suggesting products, stocking and merchandising, maintaining a clean and organized department, and safeguarding company assets.

This position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. Shifts may include weekends, certain holidays, and require flexibility based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and generate sales
• Suggest products to customers and educate them on North 40 brands
• Stock and merchandise products in the yard and store
• Maintain a clean and organized department
• Safeguard company assets
• Work collaboratively in a team environment
• Multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and rolling staircases
• Adhere to correct lifting and loading techniques

• Must be 18+ years old to obtain forklift and propane certification
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions for the entirety of your shift
• Previous merchandising experience is helpful
• Physical ability to lift and carry 0-25 lbs. continuously, 25-45 lbs. frequently, and 45-65 lbs. occasionally; team lift anything over 65 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 100% of work time, including use of ladders, rolling staircases, and pallet jacks

Schedule
