Retail Sales Associate - 2799

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business.

Pay

$11.00 to $14.00 per hour plus commission. Associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $2.10 per hour on top of the hourly rate. Actual pay will be based on work location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per established guidelines.
• Answer incoming calls to company standards.
• Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete assigned training.
• Assist with customer inquiries and problem resolution.
• Work with jewelry, electronics, tools, firearms (in FFL locations), and general merchandise.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling).
• Willingness to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Ability to assist customers outside the building (e.g., parking lots, exterior storage).
• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work in multiple locations and a variable retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and office machines.

Schedule

Most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM; many locations are closed on Sundays. Schedule flexibility is required based on business needs.
