Pay
$15.50 to $18.50 per hour plus commission. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $1.00 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

About the Role
We are seeking entry-level, full-time retail sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to deliver customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. Associates greet, engage, and interact with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions while assisting with inquiries and problem resolution. The role involves working with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers to build rapport and recommend financial solutions.
- Perform non-management open/close procedures.
- Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
- Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handle cash and negotiable items following established procedures.
- Answer incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
- Complete assigned training and other related duties as needed.
Requirements
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Assist customers in exterior areas, such as parking lots or storage buildings.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work with people and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Willingness to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and office machines.

Commission Plan
The commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Additional details are provided during the interview process.
