What You’ll Do

  • Room Layout and Design:
    • Utilize design programs such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio to design customers’ selection rooms as part of a formalized Batesville Merchandising program
    • Partner with sales representatives and funeral home customers to develop and implement innovative selection room designs that meet the needs of customers and support Batesville’s marketing and sales strategies
    • Meet with customers virtually to develop room design
  • Project Coordination:
    • Oversee entire room implementation process including:
    • Verifying fixturing allowance or payment method
    • Entering room component orders into JDE system
    • Tracking orders, creating and maintaining monthly reports
    • Cooking coordination with 3rd party
    • Communicating with customers, managers, and sales on order and project status
    • Providing necessary documentation as needed throughout project phases
  • Other duties may be assigned

What You’ll Bring

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Computer Aided Design, Graphic Design, or related field
  • One to two year(s) related design, merchandising, or construction experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in design
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and Funeral Home customers
  • Microsoft Office
  • AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit preferred
  • JD Edwards preferred
  • Project management practices and principles with good technical problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of CI/Lean philosophies
