Join the LEGO® Brand Retail team as a part-time Team Leader at Destiny USA Mall in Syracuse, NY. Be a role model and provide a brand experience for our customers while inspiring the builders of tomorrow.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Assistant Store Manager (ASM) and Store Manager (SM) in maintaining holiday, attendance, and team scheduling.
- Supervise Sales Associates during shifts, addressing potential issues in line with LEGO policies and procedures.
- Complete orders for store and office supplies within guidelines and operating budgets.
- Ensure money handling procedures are followed by all Sales Associates.
- Maintain a well-organized stockroom, ensuring all products are merchandised on the shop floor and loss prevention targets are achieved.
- Assist the ASM and SM in achieving high standards of merchandise presentation following store guidelines.
- Provide training to enhance the team's customer service, product knowledge, and sales skills.
- Review sales and margin information regularly to enhance profitable sales.
- Ensure effective space management techniques are used.
- Maintain the Store graphics system (including pricing) with a focus on customer service and maximizing sales.
- Keep all fixtures replenished at all times.
- Evaluate and communicate competitor visual merchandising techniques to identify business opportunities.
- Train Sales Associates on visual merchandising techniques according to LEGO® Brand Retail guidelines.
- Empower and develop a high-performance team by sharing the LEGO® Brand, Vision, and Values.
- Deliver inspirational retail experiences built on LEGO Brand Values.
Requirements
- Leadership and/or management experience in a retail store environment.
- Experience in delivering employee training.
- Experience with cash handling and inventory/sales auditing.
- Familiarity with point of sale automated systems.
- Experience in merchandise maintenance and visual merchandising.
- Physical ability to constantly move, talk, hear, reach, grab, and stand for at least two consecutive hours.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
- Close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
- Must provide availability to work up to 30 hours per week, covering the full week and weekend with a minimum of 4 days.
Pay
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $20.70 to $22.10 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints.
