About the role

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot is a part-time role responsible for providing "total solutions" to customers, encompassing products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. This role requires building and maintaining customer relationships, supporting sales offerings, engaging with the local community, and contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient operation in the Print function to drive overall store sales.

  • Operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure client orders are completed correctly and on-time.

  • Effectively utilize communication tools to request assistance within the Print Services area and coordinate appropriate service for all customers throughout the store.

  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies, working with all associates to ensure regular loss prevention compliance.

  • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.

  • Drive positive client satisfaction levels by coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience.

  • Support community outreach initiatives to drive client/customer retention.

  • Continuously develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided to deliver the total solution.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; support the company’s loss prevention efforts.

  • Perform External Key Carrier responsibilities, including opening & closing responsibilities, and assist in review of cash handling, cashier, and merchandise error logs, register voids, tax exemption, and related cash office audits.

  • Participate in Leader on Duty functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in related field.

  • Sales and/or Customer Service experience preferred.

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information.

  • Skilled in Customer Service and Print Services experience would be desired.

  • Possess advanced selling skills.

  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, necessary to establish a selling relationship with customers.

  • Able to assist others in a professional environment.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Possess the ability to use technology applicable to role, and to access information necessary to complete daily responsibilities.

  • Possess ability to process information/merchandise through POS register system.

  • Pays close attention to detail to ensure high quality production in the Print Services area.

Benefits

The company offers a competitive salary range of $18.50 to $20.00 per hour, along with a benefits package that includes a 401(k) and more. There is also opportunity to participate in an incentive program, paid in accordance with the Incentive Plan terms and conditions.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $18.50 to $20.00 per hour, with adjustments made based on state and local minimum wages.
