About the role

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot is a part-time role responsible for providing "total solutions" to customers, covering products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. This role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, supporting sales, engaging with the local community, and contributing to a positive corporate culture.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient operation in the Print function to drive overall store sales.
  • Operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure customer orders are completed correctly and on time.
  • Effectively utilize communication tools to request assistance within the Print Services area and coordinate service for all customers throughout the store.
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; support loss prevention efforts.
  • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Drive positive client satisfaction levels by coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience.
  • Support community outreach initiatives to drive client/customer retention.
  • Continuously develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools.
  • Perform external key carrier responsibilities, including opening and closing store responsibilities, and assist in review of cash handling, cashier, and merchandise error logs, register voids, tax exemption, and related cash office audits.

  • Ensure safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of the management team.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-3 years related experience in sales and/or customer service is preferred. Basic computer skills and ability to use job-related technology and POS systems are required. Attention to detail and experience in Print Services is beneficial.

The pay range for this role is $15.00 per hour to $18.15 per hour, with state and local minimum wages applied.
