About the role

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot is a part-time role responsible for providing "total solutions" to customers, encompassing products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. The role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, supporting sales offerings, engaging with the local community, and contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Print Sales and Services: Support efficient operation while driving overall store sales. Operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure client orders are completed correctly and on-time. Coordinate service requests and communicate effectively with customers.

  • Operational Efficiency: Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhere to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards. Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and inefficiencies. Ensure compliance with company policies and support loss prevention efforts.

  • Client Engagement: Drive positive client satisfaction levels by coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience. Support community outreach initiatives to retain clients. Continuously develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided tools.

  • External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty: Ensure safety and security during the absence of management. Assist in reviewing key performance indicators, cash handling, and related audits. Perform opening or closing responsibilities as needed.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in related field.

  • Sales and/or Customer Service experience preferred.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to use computers and technology for information access.

  • Skilled in Customer Service and Print Services experience desired.

  • Advanced selling skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability, and ability to assist others professionally.

  • Pays close attention to detail for high-quality production in the Print Services area.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

The salary range for this role is $11.70 to $19.43 per hour, with compliance with state and local minimum wages.
