About the role

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot is a part-time role responsible for providing "total solutions" to customers, covering products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. The role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, supporting sales, engaging with the local community, and contributing to a positive corporate culture.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient operation in the Print function to drive overall store sales.
  • Operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure client orders are completed correctly and on-time.
  • Utilize communication tools to request assistance within the Print Services area and coordinate service for all customers throughout the store.
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; support loss prevention efforts.
  • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Drive positive client satisfaction levels, coach and train associates to enhance the customer experience, and support community outreach initiatives.
  • Perform External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty functions, ensuring the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of the management team.
  • Ensure regular loss prevention compliance, provide guidance to improve results, activate/deactivate the store’s alarm system, and manage cash handling, cashier, and merchandise error logs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 1-3 years related experience in sales and/or customer service; basic computer skills; ability to use job-related technology and POS systems; attention to detail; experience in Print Services.

Benefits

The company offers a competitive salary range of $19.00 to $21.00 per hour, a benefits package including a 401(k) plan, and opportunities for growth within the organization. The position is subject to compliance with state and local minimum wages, and the company may adjust the salary range accordingly. An incentive program is also available, paid in accordance with the Incentive Plan terms and conditions.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

The salary range for this role is $19.00 to $21.00 per hour, with compliance with state and local minimum wages.
