About the role

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot provides "total solutions" to customers, covering products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. They build and maintain customer relationships, becoming a trusted advisor through provided training, supporting sales offerings, and contributing to a positive culture aligned with the 5C values.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient operation in the Print function to drive overall store sales.
  • Operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area, ensuring correct and timely completion of customer orders.
  • Communicate effectively to request assistance and coordinate service for all customers.
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures and deadlines.
  • Identify and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies, ensuring compliance with loss prevention policies.
  • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, AOV, and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Drive positive client satisfaction levels by coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience.
  • Support community outreach initiatives to retain clients.
  • Continuously develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided tools.
  • Ensure safety and security during the absence of the management team, performing opening or closing responsibilities as needed.
  • Perform external key carrier responsibilities, including opening/closing duties and assisting with cash handling, cashier, and merchandise error logs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 1-3 years related experience in sales or customer service; basic computer skills; ability to use job-related technology and POS systems; attention to detail; experience in Print Services is preferred.

Benefits

Competitive salary range of $12.93 to $17.83 per hour, with adjustments based on state and local minimum wages. Includes a 401(k) plan and more, along with opportunities for growth within the organization.
