Retail Part Time Sr. Store Associate
About the role
As a Sr. Store Associate - Part Time, you will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending the right products, services, and solutions to enhance their experience. Through enthusiasm and expertise, you will help create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhancing the store's visual and merchandising standards, freight, and logistics activities, while prioritizing unparalleled client satisfaction. You will support a customer-centric environment and engage with the local community, contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values: Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, and Courageous.
You will complete advanced-level training in print and technology products/services to ensure you're equipped with next-level knowledge to assist customers effectively. You will apply cutting-edge sales principles to create satisfying customer interactions, driving business growth. The role is essential in inspiring sales brilliance and delivering exceptional service in key areas such as Print and Technology.
The essential functions of this position may require consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third party.
Responsibilities
- Customer Centric Experience:
- Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer to support a positive experience.
- Utilize the selling program to promote the best solutions and additional products/services.
- Maintain awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
- Store Operations Commitment:
- Maintain store and print department appearance according to company guidelines, ensuring a neat, clean, and well-stocked environment.
- Adhere to all standards related to signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
- Follow established sorting and stocking guidelines and complete freight processes.
- Ensure the freight sorting area is organized and set up according to guidelines.
- Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
- Print and Tech Expertise:
- Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided sales and service tools, including completion of advanced Print and Technology training.
- Pursue continued education in these areas, including designated certifications if required.
- Compliance Adherence and Support:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices, and support loss prevention efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No previous experience required; retail sales experience preferred.
Skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
- Able to use technology and POS systems to access information and process transactions.
- Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Enjoys interacting with people and working in a customer-facing environment.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $13.50 to $16.50 per hour. All state and local minimum wage laws will be complied with, which may result in an adjustment to the salary range.
