About the role

Must have weekday morning availability. Need to have a flexible mindset to function in multiple areas of the store including customer service, print, and logistics. As a Sr. Store Associate - Part Time, you will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending the right products, services, and solutions to enhance their experience. Through enthusiasm and expertise, you will help create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhance the store's visual and merchandising standards, manage freight and logistics activities, and prioritize unparalleled client satisfaction.

The Sr. Store Associate supports a customer-centric environment, engages with the local community, and contributes to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values of Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, & Courageous. You will complete advanced-level training in print and technology products/services to assist customers effectively and apply cutting-edge sales principles to drive business growth.

The essential functions of this position may require consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third party.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Centric Experience: Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer. Utilize the selling program to promote the best solutions and additional products/services. Maintain awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
  • Store Operations Commitment: Maintain store and print department appearance according to company guidelines. Adhere to signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation standards. Follow sorting and stocking guidelines, complete freight processes, and ensure the freight sorting area is organized. Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
  • Print and Tech Expertise: Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided tools, including advanced-level Print and Technology training. Pursue continued education and designated certifications if required.
  • Compliance Adherence and Support: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices. Support loss prevention efforts. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • No previous experience required; retail sales experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
  • Able to use technology and POS systems to access information and process transactions.
  • Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Enjoys interacting with people and working in a customer-facing environment.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $15.50 to $16.50 per hour. All state and local minimum wage laws will be complied with, which may result in an adjustment to the salary range.
