Job Duties
- Serve as department MOD, including attending MOD meetings, daily oversight of employees, responding to guest service calls, and conducting walkthroughs of locations
- Assist Managers and Sr. Supervisors in inventory management tasks, ensuring locations are cleaned, fully stocked and ready for operation
- Perform audits, cycle counts, and other inventory tasks as needed to ensure accuracy
- Absorb and distribute PAMs and Legacy Checks, and lead the Outstanding Employee Program in partnership with Managers
- Conduct employee training as necessary, provide supervision and support to the team, coach employees when needed, and conduct follow-up training when necessary
- Aid with daily operating paperwork to include break schedules, staffing adjustment sheets, and timesheets
- Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service to enhance their overall experience
- Support operational needs by working in alternate areas or as a front-line team member
- Perform elevated responsibilities like guest returns, price overrides, logging on/off/point-of-sale systems, and performing cashier resets at the end of shifts
- Assist with various leadership tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older on the date of applying
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in Retail operations
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times
- Must be able to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Must be friendly, upbeat, work well with other employees, and be able to interact with our guests in a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong conflict-resolution/problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Child Labor Law regulations
- Must be able to multitask while prioritizing job tasks and assignments
- Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines
- Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information
Job Demands
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule of up to 36 hours per week
- Memorial Day through Labor Day including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather
- Work is almost exclusively outdoors
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand (for up to eight hours at a time), walk, bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, and the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level, and lift up to sixty (60) pounds without assistance
