Retail Office Manager
About the role
The Retail Office Manager II will lead and coach a team of sales and service professionals to achieve branch growth and service goals. This role will manage branch activities, observe staff behavior, and ensure alignment with the bank's strategy. The incumbent will handle day-to-day management tasks, including staffing decisions, performance appraisals, training, promotions, salary recommendations, and coaching.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coach a team of 5-12 branch associates
- Make sound business decisions that benefit both the customer and the bank
- Oversee branch budgeting, profitability management, and operational duties
- Promote branch growth and attract new business through cross-selling and skill development
- Provide administrative control over branch functions
- Ensure branch compliance with procedures, policies, and regulations
- Lead and develop a team to meet or exceed set Bank growth and service targets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in retail banking
- Minimum of 5 years of management or supervisory experience in a retail banking environment
- Previous extensive business development experience with a proven successful track record
- Experience in branch operations, including procedures, policies, control, and regulations
- Strong knowledge of deposit and retail loan products; familiarity with business lending products
- Knowledge of financial fundamentals, including computation of interest and monthly payments
- Strong coaching, development skills, and creativity
- Strong knowledge of teller operations and processing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
- Proficient in basic computer skills
