About the role

BODYBAR Pilates is a fast-growing boutique fitness franchise delivering high-energy reformer Pilates experiences nationwide. We are seeking a Retail Merchandising & Procurement Manager to lead our systemwide retail strategy, product sourcing, vendor relationships, and franchise retail execution. This role ensures every BODYBAR studio has the right products, merchandising standards, and inventory systems to drive retail sales and elevate the brand experience.

Responsibilities

  • Retail Merchandising & Strategy
    • Lead retail merchandising strategy and seasonal product launches across all studios
    • Develop product assortments, planograms, and visual merchandising standards
    • Create retail readiness kits for new studio openings and launches
    • Partner with Marketing, Design, and Operations on retail campaigns and product storytelling
    • Research market and athleisure trends to inform product strategy
  • Procurement & Vendor Management
    • Sources and manages vendors for apparel, accessories, and branded merchandise
    • Negotiates pricing, contracts, timelines, and order terms
    • Manages product ordering systems and franchisee purchasing platform
    • Oversees production timelines and ensures on-time delivery for studio launches
    • Sets inventory ordering standards (MOQs, reorder points, inventory targets)
  • Inventory & Financial Management
    • Forecasts inventory needs across core and seasonal product lines
    • Tracks product performance, sales trends, and profitability
    • Supports budgeting, invoicing, and financial reconciliation with Finance
    • Identifies opportunities to improve margins and reduce inventory waste
  • Franchisee Support & Studio Execution
    • Serves as the main retail merchandising contact for franchisees
    • Supports studio openings, presales, and grand openings (including on-site support as needed)
    • Trains studio teams on retail selling, product knowledge, and merchandising standards
    • Provides tools, playbooks, and guidance to improve retail execution and sales

Requirements

  • 4+ years in retail merchandising, buying, procurement, or inventory management
  • Experience in fitness, boutique retail, athleisure, or apparel strongly preferred
  • Experience working with multi-location or franchise systems is a plus
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Experience with inventory planning, forecasting, and retail budgeting
  • Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail/inventory systems

Pay

$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Schedule

Hybrid role based in Fort Worth, TX with 2 days/week in office. Up to 25% travel required for studio openings, vendor meetings, and franchise support.
