The Retail Master Club Fitter builds golfer relationships and works one-on-one with golfers and teammates to ensure a positive club fitting experience. This role supports the Operations Sales Manager in achieving company objectives in sales performance, profit contribution, and profit and loss controls by overseeing the sales effort in their department. The Retail Master Club Fitter trains and certifies all club fitters and drives sales in services-related areas such as simulator, putting green, Special Orders, Pre-Owned, club fitting and repair programs, accessories, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Golf sales reports and data to understand business results and opportunities, communicating findings to teammates.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, using diplomacy and tact to gain their trust and respect.
  • Greet and acknowledge customers, offering assistance as needed or requested.
  • Monitor sales, customer service, and operational efforts on the selling floor.
  • Serve as the point of contact for customers and teammates to provide golf services knowledge and communicate company standards.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of products, services, merchandise promotions, test merchandise, and advertising.
  • Manage store services sales by performing customer club fittings and repairs.
  • Train teammates on all aspects of services, including specialized selling techniques and services technology.
  • Ensure department scheduling, workplace assignments, and daily teammate tasks are on track.
  • Communicate company initiatives, programs, promotions, and services to department teammates.
  • Assist the store management team with general supervision, including opening and closing the store and coverage as assigned (Key Carrier).
  • Plan and execute all golf directives.
  • Ensure the store achieves its shrinkage goal by setting expectations on merchandise handling and display.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding store operations.
  • Perform all other tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of retail experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years of golf industry experience preferred.
