About the role
We are seeking a Retail Manager to lead all sales and operational activities within our stores. This role requires a deep understanding of the market, customers, products, and services to drive profitable growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, including customer experience, expense control, inventory management, and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to increase satisfaction and retention.
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate retail team members to build high-performing sales teams.
- Support the development of annual financial budgets and key performance indicators to position the store for year-over-year growth.
- Analyze product and service performance to identify opportunities for growth and profitability gains.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and uphold company values in all interactions.
Key Measures Of Success
- Consistently meets established sales volume and profitability goals through operational excellence and customer service.
- Solves escalated customer issues promptly and effectively, achieving a high rate of first-contact resolution and positive customer feedback.
- Applies in-depth knowledge of the metal building business to provide accurate recommendations and solutions that strengthen customer trust and retention.
- Analyzes sales and operational data using Microsoft Excel to identify trends, track performance, and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Exhibits and displays the company’s values of “Own It. Can Do. Act in Love.”
Requirements
- Minimum Required Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of retail management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred Experience: In the metal building or construction materials industry, proven track record of achieving sales growth and operational excellence in a retail environment, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Routine utilization of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and printers.
- Interactions with production areas, equipment, or machinery when visiting operational sites.
- Combination of sedentary and active tasks, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, driving, and occasional lifting of materials or tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to noise, temperature variations, machinery, moving objects, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required by site policy when in designated production or operational areas.
