Retail Manager
About the role
Retail Manager position at IU Health Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. The Retail Manager oversees the operations of an assigned retail location, ensuring efficient store management in accordance with Aramark’s policies, procedures, and client contract. The role focuses on coordinating guest services to create a positive impression for both staff and guests, as well as managing overall store merchandising, inventory, and purchasing.
Responsibilities
- Oversee non-selling aspects of retail operations, including inventory management, warehouse management, receiving, ticketing, and distribution.
- Collaborate with HR to hire staff, maintain accurate staffing for events or daily operations, and stay within payroll budget.
- Develop and train staff on customer service programs and product knowledge.
- Ensure accurate procedures for opening and closing the store, including cash and credit card accountability, and security requirements.
- Address and resolve customer issues promptly.
- Verify financial transaction reports, including sales and merchandise transfers.
- Periodically check and verify accurate ticketing of merchandise.
- Lead physical inventories and resolve count discrepancies.
- Maintain effective client and customer relationships for mutually beneficial business outcomes.
- Adapt to changing job duties or new assignments as needed to meet business commitments.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to work a flexible, event-based schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Profit and loss (P&L) accountability and/or contract-managed service experience preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service using Aramark’s standard service model.
