Retail Key Holder, Carlsbad, #1452

BevMo! by Gopuff is seeking a motivated individual to support our Retail Operations team by opening and closing the store, driving sales, and delivering excellent customer service in the absence of management.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and establishing rapport with customers while informing them of products and services
• Arrive early to open the store and leave late to close the store
• Assist the store during high-volume periods and support new employees
• Recommend in-house products to customers based on knowledge of inventory
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as restocking merchandise, conducting inventory counts, and identifying discrepancies
• Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including opening and closing tills, counting cash, and preparing deposits
• Operate scanners, cash registers, and other electronics
• Follow proper age verification policies
• Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate and provide customer receipts
• Process refunds and exchanges
• Monitor the sales floor to prevent theft and minimize loss, including conducting bag checks and ensuring adherence to security procedures
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist in upholding standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms
• Train new employees on store procedures, product knowledge, and customer service standards

Requirements

• 1+ years leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work with fluid schedules; available during peak hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Basic math skills and proficiency in cash handling
• Team-oriented mentality
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Pay

Carlsbad, CA: USD $17.65/hr

Compensation is based on market pricing and may vary by location, determined using a cost-of-labor index for the geographic area. A candidate’s starting pay will be based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
