Retail Key Holder, Santa Barbara, #510

BevMo! by Gopuff is seeking a motivated individual to support our Retail Operations team by opening and closing the store, driving sales, and delivering excellent customer service in the absence of management.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and establishing rapport with customers while informing them of products and services.
• Open and close the store, including arriving early and leaving late as needed.
• Assist the store during high-volume periods and support new employees.
• Recommend in-house products to customers based on knowledge of inventory.
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as restocking merchandise, conducting inventory counts, and identifying discrepancies.
• Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including opening and closing tills, counting cash, and preparing deposits.
• Operate scanners, cash registers, and other electronics.
• Follow proper age verification policies.
• Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate and provide customer receipts.
• Process refunds and exchanges.
• Monitor the sales floor to prevent theft and minimize loss, including conducting bag checks and ensuring adherence to security procedures.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist in upholding standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms.
• Train new employees on store procedures, product knowledge, and customer service standards.

Requirements

• 1+ years of leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak hours.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in cash handling.
• Team-oriented mentality.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Pay

Compensation for U.S. locations is based on a cost of labor index for the geographic area. The salary range for Santa Barbara, CA is USD $17.75 per hour. Starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
