About the role

The Retail Store Supervisor role at Office Depot is a full-time position focusing on providing comprehensive solutions across Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. This role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, becoming a trusted advisor on Technology products/services and print offerings, and driving sales through proactive engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture that builds trust, brand loyalty, and exceptional client service delivery.
  • Utilize and understand the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional product and/or services solutions.
  • Maintain awareness of planned advertisements and promotions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by educating customers about Office Depot products and services.
  • Evaluate the customer’s needs to determine the total solution.
  • Lead and develop a team of store associates, including Print Services associates.
  • Facilitate training sessions on the business model and the holistic service offering for clients/customers.
  • Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency and build a culture of trust and brand loyalty.
  • Provide feedback to the General Manager regarding store associates' performance, certification(s), and competencies.
  • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Perform external key carrier responsibilities, including opening and closing responsibilities, ensuring regular loss prevention compliance, and assisting the General Manager in providing guidance and effective coaching to associates for improved performance.

Education & Experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Coursework in Business, Retail Management, or related field a plus.
  • 1-3 years related experience; retail, sales, customer-facing, and/or supervisory experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong selling, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and train others; works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable using technology and systems to complete daily responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving, conflict management, time management, and business acumen.
  • Drives for results, directs others effectively, makes sound decisions, and collaborates well.
  • Adaptable, accountable, and able to maintain open availability.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

The salary range for this role is $17.00/hr to $17.66/hr, with state and local minimum wages complying. The company offers competitive salaries, a benefits package, including a 401(k) and more, along with ample opportunity to grow within the organization.
