About the role
The FT Store Supervisor - Meal Break KC at Office Depot is responsible for providing comprehensive solutions to customers across Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. This role requires building and maintaining strong customer relationships, utilizing sales principles, and supporting a customer-centric environment.
Responsibilities
- Foster a culture that builds trust, brand loyalty, and exceptional client service delivery.
- Utilize and understand the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional product and/or services solutions.
- Maintain awareness of planned advertisements and promotions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by educating customers about Office Depot products and services.
- Educate customers about Office Depot products and services.
- Request assistance anywhere on the sales floor and coordinate the appropriate service and customer engagement throughout the store.
- Evaluate the customer’s needs to determine the total solution.
- Guide, direct, and train store associates, including Print Services associates.
- Facilitate training sessions on the business model and the holistic service offering for clients/customers.
- Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency and build a culture of trust and brand loyalty.
- Provide feedback to the General Manager regarding store associates' performance, certification(s), and competencies.
- Support operational efficiency by processing merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
- Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
- Perform external key carrier responsibilities, including opening and closing responsibilities, ensuring regular loss prevention compliance, and assisting the General Manager in providing guidance and effective coaching to associates for improved performance.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in related field, such as Retail, sales, customer facing, and/or supervisory experience.
- Knowledgeable in the Technology and Print area.
- Knowledgeable in the Technology and Print area.
- Strong selling skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Adaptable to a changing environment.
- Ability to coach and train others in a professional environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to process information/merchandise through POS register system.
- Ability to use technology and print equipment applicable to role, and to access information necessary to complete daily responsibilities.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
The salary range for this role is $11.81 per hour to $18.75 per hour, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
