retail - framing manager

Lead and coach a team of framers in Evansville, IN, focusing on custom framing sales and customer relationships. Partner with the Store Manager to ensure compliance, safety, and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and execution of policies.
• Develop and coach the framing team on selling behaviors and hold them accountable for store conditions and results.
• Plan workload with the Store Manager to deliver high-quality custom framing solutions on time.
• Achieve personal KPIs and manage the framing team to meet their role KPIs.
• Review sales and production workload; build plans and allocate sales floor time for networking.
• Manage and execute inventory management, shrink, and safety programs as assigned.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and partner with other MODs on framing expectations.
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training new team members; support talent development and performance management activities.
• Participate in truck unload and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
• Follow SOPs and company programs to maintain a safe environment; acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions.
• Assist with Omni channel processes and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• Preferred: Previous custom framing experience, retail management experience, and experience leading a sales team.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching; ability to move throughout the store and remain standing for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and frames and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Work Environment

• Public retail store setting with climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.
• Some outdoor work (e.g., retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks).
• Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
• Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
