Retail Display Installer - Technology

2020 Companies is seeking reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Retail Installation & Merchandising Specialists to join our team and represent leading brands like Dell, Intel, Dyson, Google, and HP. In this role, you’ll work independently, meet deadlines, and use mobile applications and technology to review, schedule, and complete assignments at different retail venues within 90 miles.

About the role

You will install, assemble, and update retail fixtures, shelving, endcaps, and displays; complete retail resets, store build-outs, remodels, and display repairs; follow planograms (POGs), schematics, and client-specific merchandising directives; service TVs, interactive displays, kiosks, and other retail display equipment; update operating systems and software; troubleshoot hardware issues; and document completed work with photos.

Responsibilities

• Respond to field services management within 24 hours of contact and keep availability updated.
• Complete all assigned jobs on or before scheduled end dates.
• Install and build displays, end caps, and fixturing according to planograms and client requests.
• Complete necessary forms, images, and surveys before leaving the job site.
• Maintain and update displays, conduct break-fix repairs, and ensure displays are fully functional.
• Participate in early morning installations and team-based projects; provide solution feedback.
• Manage virtual software and related tasks to meet timelines.
• Assist team members as needed and adhere to timecard submission and reporting requirements.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment and complete training/certification programs.
• Track, record, and communicate activity via designated systems/workflows.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, retailers, and internal teams.
• Demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and effective communication.
• Ensure customer and client satisfaction according to established KPIs.
• Be open to feedback and adapt to changing tasks and work environments.

Requirements

• Comfortable using hand tools and technology.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle.
• Ability and willingness to climb ladders up to 10 feet and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to kneel, walk, crouch, bend, reach overhead, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Willingness to travel up to 90 miles from your residence for assignments.
• Must provide and use: Phillips/flat-head screwdrivers, hex keys, box cutter, tape measure, microfiber cloth, 256G USB (USB-A/C adapter).
• Smartphone with a current OS, active data plan, and comfort with mobile apps and digital instructions.
• Flexible availability Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends/holidays and early/late hours as needed.
• Maintain a minimum of 20 hours of fieldwork within a rolling 30-day period.
• High school diploma or equivalent; retail or merchandising experience is beneficial.

Skills

Pay

$18 per hour.

Schedule

Flexible schedule with assignments between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. Hours vary based on available assignments and may include occasional weekends, early mornings, or holidays. Must maintain a minimum of 20 hours of fieldwork within a rolling 30-day period.
